Silvia Binda Heiserova is a multimedia artist, researcher and creative coder based between Slovakia and Spain. Her artistic practice challenges normative, stereotypical and biased representations embedded in technological systems, proposing alternative uses and readings of technology. Working with DIY electronics, 3D printing, datasets, text, sound and diagramming, her practice questions dominant narratives of efficiency, progress and masculinity in postdigital culture. Silvia holds a PhD in Artistic Practice and Research from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where she was part of the Art and Gender research group. In 2023, Silvia founded offDAC, a decentralised platform for researching the intersection of feminism, art, sound and technology.
